This is the story of Dipika Karki.
A Childhood Filled with Challenges
Dipika was raised by her mother, Dewaki Karki, who worked tirelessly as a single parent to provide for her family. Like many mothers facing financial hardship, Dewaki wanted nothing more than to see her daughter receive a quality education and build a better future.
Unfortunately, limited financial resources meant that continuing Dipika’s education beyond school was uncertain.
That changed in 2014, when Dipika became part of the MySmallHelp Educational Sponsorship Programme.
Through the generosity of compassionate sponsors, she was able to continue her education without the constant worry that financial difficulties would force her to leave school.

From the very beginning, Dipika understood the value of the opportunity she had been given.
She remained focused on her studies, worked diligently throughout her school years, and consistently demonstrated perseverance, discipline, and a strong desire to succeed.

With the continued encouragement of her family, teachers, and MySmallHelp supporters, Dipika successfully completed both her secondary and higher secondary education.
Reaching Higher
Today, Dipika has taken another significant step towards achieving her dreams.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), a four-year undergraduate programme that will equip her with the knowledge and practical skills needed for a professional career in business, management, finance, and entrepreneurship.
For a young woman whose educational journey once seemed uncertain, attending university is a remarkable achievement.
It represents years of hard work, resilience, and the unwavering support of people who believed in her potential.
