As part of its continued commitment to improving the learning environment at Ladkeshwor School, MySmallHelp Nepal worked with Friends For Global Change (FFGC), USA to address an important but often overlooked need: adequate and hygienic sanitation facilities for children and teachers.
The Ladkeshwor School Toilet Block Project was completed in December 2023, providing the school with a dedicated four-unit toilet block.
The new facility includes:
- 3 toilet units for children
- 1 toilet unit for teachers
The project was supported by Friends For Global Change, USA, continuing the organisation’s long-standing partnership with MySmallHelp Nepal and its commitment to improving educational facilities for children in rural Nepal.
Raju Maharjan, Project Coordinator for Nepal, coordinated the project locally, working with the school and community to oversee its implementation and completion.
The construction of the toilet block was an important addition to the school’s infrastructure. Safe, accessible and hygienic sanitation facilities are essential for creating a healthy and child-friendly school environment, helping children attend school comfortably and participate fully in their education.
The completion of this project in December 2023 marked another significant milestone in the long-term partnership between Friends For Global Change, USA and MySmallHelp Nepal—a partnership that began with the construction of the school building and has continued through educational programs and improvements to essential school facilities.
