Alistair Williams’ Visit
Alistair Williams from MySmallHelp UK visited Nepal in November to oversee Phase 3 renovations, marking the progress by inaugurating a new water tap. We are grateful for his ongoing support!
Phase 2 marks a major improvement in both infrastructure and ambiance, creating a more organized, safe, and engaging learning environment at Marybert School.
Matt’s Visit from Schools for Nepal
In November, Matt from Australia, the founder of the charity organization Schools for Nepal, visited Marybert School. During his visit, he spent quality time with the school children as well as the children living at Marybert Children Home. Matt brought thoughtful gifts for the children at the home and enjoyed a joyful day filled with games, laughter, and heartwarming moments, creating lasting memories for everyone.
Christmas Celebration at Marybert Children Home Thanks to Charlotte and Aaron
Charlotte and Aaron from the UK have once again shown incredible generosity by raising and contributing funds for the children at Marybert Children Home for the 2024 Christmas season. Their unwavering support continues each year, and this year is no exception. With the funds they raised, we were able to purchase essential items for the children, including shoes, bags, jumpers, blankets, a rice cooker, and more.
In addition, we completed several much-needed renovations. This included repairing and fixing cupboards in the children’s rooms, replacing door hardware, and upgrading the kitchen cupboard doors. We also enhanced the lighting in the children’s dormitory to make their living space brighter and more welcoming. Part of the funds were also allocated to improving the safety of the school by adding a protective fence around the stairs.
The main highlight of the celebrations was that the children had the joy of celebrating Christmas with delicious food and cakes for dessert. The event also included fun songs and dances, adding to the festive spirit and creating lasting memories for the children.
A huge thank you to Charlotte and Aaron for their continued generosity and support in making this holiday season special for the children.
