About Bhattedanda

  •  Bhattedanda is located almost 26km south of Kathmandu, lying deep in the hills of the valley.

  • The population of the villagers is 4,500.There are around 4,000 houses.

  • 70% of the population is illiterate.

  • The main occupation of the area is agriculture and livestock farming.

  • The area of the village is 20km in diameter and is surrounded by mountains and many small villages.

  • There are 3 buses a day from Kathmandu and back.  Other forms of transport are by Lorries, farm vehicles and motor bike.

  • CDMA (wireless telephone) is the only means of communication in this area.
